The Slave Bible

The Slave Bible was a modified version of the Bible given to “negro slaves” for the purpose of their subjugation. It removed key chapters and books pointing to identity, prophecy, the law and deliverance. It retained books that could be twisted to justify chattel slavery. This included removal of genealogies, the Exodus. Of the 1,189 chapters, it contained only 232.
